Cones...

I'd like to try autocross but I just put a ton of money into my new paint...does hitting the cones do any damage? Not that I'm going to but there is always a possibility lol... ;)

I've had a couple scuffs on my lower sideskirts. Haven't it and with my front bumper yet thorugh.

Hitting cones can cause scuff marks to painted surfaces. Most of the time, if the paint job is quality, the scuff mark simply rubs out with a rag, or when you wash the vehicle.

You need to get a mustang first before you can mark it up! :lol:

But yeah, don't worry about it, I've clocked cones really hard before, and the scuff mark comes off. I figure metal/fiberglass is quite a bit stronger than rubber cones.

You're not driving hard enough. Or you're not driving.

When they double stack the cones, that's when they can start to cause damage to bumpers.

Overall, I wouldn't worry about it doing damage to your paint.
