I DO I DO I DO!

DOh.... i need to get me a cummins first... :(

I soo want a diesel....
But the whole price of diesel fuel lately has had me not missing it so much.

Price of diesel sucks, but I get 16 towing the stang and 17 mpg in town this winter including 4 wheel drive. Normally 19-20 mpg when it's warmer. Nothing like 600 ft pounds of torque for towing.

Got Diesel?

Sounds good to me! I don't have the fastest but it will hold it's own.

14.4 is pretty quick. I don think my 7.3 is that quick. What mods do you have or is that a secret? I have a TS Performance 6 position chip (stock, high idle, 50,75,100, and 140 hp), 4" turbo back exhaust, and a homemade intake. Nothing like blowing black smoke on annoying tailgaters! :smoking:

Oh yeah, I will play.

I don't think you should limit it to Diesel's Ray....afterall, Racin'Repair would probably put on a pretty good show...

I say we hook up combined weight of 25,500 LBS and drag race. I mean that is what they're made for right??

It would be kinda fun to see how all these hot rod deisel's fair when loaded like my trucks are all the time.

I have the trailer, I can even have it loaded. How many of you diesel guys even have a gooseneck plate in your trucks?? 18,000 + pounds of 36 ft enclosed gooseneck trailer might slow them down a tad.

I am sure my old POS's will fail miserably next to the newer trucks but it would still be fun to see how all these trucks would fair with a man load on them.

Wish I had one, but then again I have no paymentsand they serve they're purpose. :D

On Trucks, he installed a power chip on a Chevy 2500 with the 6.6 Turbo Duramax. It really kicked butt and I was totally impressed.

Mine is just a 2002 7.3 in a 4x4 F250. These big truck really surprise a lot of people, especially onese running chips and exhaust. Nothing like the feeling of all that torque and smoking the tires through 3rd gear.

77F350 528 with a little shot. Runs 13.80's in 4wd.

:unf:

I just hauled almost combined weight of nearly 26,000 lbs last week with my white cummins. I got 12 MPG and could cruise at ease down the freeway up to 85 MPH. My truck is stock and has nearly 200,000 miles on it.

Some dude was giving me shit at Cedar falls last time we were there cause he passed me on the freeway in a newer 1/2 ton chevy. I had a 20 ft enclosed trailer going into a 20mph+ headwind. I'd like to see how well his truck pulls all this weight with 200,000 on it.

I can take a stock Cummins in my 7.3 pretty easily, but throw some mods on the Cummins and it's lights out. Oh well, I bet my Notch is faster than his car!

What does your Hemi run 1/4? I think the average newer diesel should be high 15 to high 16's. I dont know? Slower or faster with or without mods.

I may have to join in on this. Of coarse not till after my new Monsterbox or BTS, BB turbo and a little fine tweak'in from A man named Jody Tipton
Currently 99.5 7.3 extcab LB 4X4 w/SCMT1705, Homemade intake, and a few other minor fuel system and VB mods. Very fun for it's size, but the TC is not going to last much longer. I'm trying to milk it through this winter. Call me crazy ,but I'm hoping the TC takes the whole f'in tranny out so there would be no other choice than to replacing it with a REAL trans and TC.

Well if you guys let in gas engines, Ill run the Hemi. I know its not competetive against your diesel trucks but fun for someone who is stangless. I see Comp Cams has 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi cams that put out 61 horse with valve springs....add that with some full exhaust....hmmmmmmm.

Heck ya I was talking to the guys at comp and they are comming with a cam/programmer package where you get a cam and the required programmer loaded with a tune for the cam. Pretty cool that the aftermarket is stepping up with some parts.

Jody Tipton is one of the best in the tuning community for the 7.3's. You should definitely ditch the SCMT and go wit a DP multi position chip. Difference is night and day. My TS Performance 6 position chip is hands down better than the Banks, and SCMT crap I had before.

I will run my 04 6.0 F350 4x4 with Gooseneck and trailer is available and it's paid for. Fully fueled and with me in it it's just over 8k lbs. Crew Cab Short box.

Mods? :duh:

Wouldnt you like to know. :smoking:

I don't think it's all that and the quickest truck by any means, but I would love to put 25k on it and run against some other trucks just to find out.
